Introduction

Laboratory of Functional Materials and Devices (LFMD) was initiated in 2017 and is located in the Department of Physics, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. The main theme of initiating this lab is to promote science in the field of functional materials and devices. Currently, three faculty members and seven scholars are working in this area. The research group is dealing with materials in different areas of research covering a wide range of applications in electronic and communications systems. Apart from that, theoretical studies of materials using density functional theory is also under the focus of this group. We do a variety of research that centers around the fabrication and characterization of functional materials and devices. We have experience in synthesis of inorganic materials via physical and chemical routes, and characterization via different techniques such as XRD, Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electon Microscopy, LCR, Impedance Spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy etc. |
